Abstracts
Abstract submission is now closed. Presenters whose abstracts are selected
for oral presentation will be notified by mid-October, 2014. All Presenters
whose abstracts are not accepted for oral presentation will be invited
for Poster Presentation.
Presentation options
1.
Oral Presentation: total allocated time for presentation:
20 minutes (15 minutes for presentation and 5 minutes for questions).
Accepted languages: English, French, or Portuguese. Simultaneous translation
will be provided.
2. Poster Presentation: presenters must be present at
the specified date/time and ready to discuss main findings of his/her
work.
Instructions
for abstract presentation
a. Oral presentations: 15 minutes are allocated for the
presentation and 5 min for questions (approximately 15 slides). Please
include on your slides a brief introduction and background, followed by
the methodology, results, and conclusions. Bring your PowerPoint presentation
on a USB drive and load them on the day of your presentation in the speaker-ready
room.
b. Poster presentations: the poster board is 90 x 110
cm in size, so plan your poster size to fit within this space. Posters
should be hung in the morning of the presentation, and should be removed
immediately following the presentation. Make sure to be at your poster
during the presentation session.
