CLINICAL SCREENING

Considering that HEMORIO is a Tertiary Unit Care for high complexity hematological diseases, the rules for referring patients to it and to have a medical consultation are the following:

1. For patients from another Health Unit Care. For patients from another Rio de Janeiro Health Care unit, out of HEMORIO assistance range, the assistant physician must refer this patient to a Hematology Diagnostic Center at his region.

For patients from the Health Care Units within HEMORIO range, the assistant physician should previously call the Clinical Screening Supervisor, telephone number 2505-0750, extension 2151, daily, from 8 am to 12 am.
 
2. For outpatients, Please call 2507-7004, from Monday to Friday for consultation. This service begins at 8 am. It´ll be scheduled to the next day or to the next available day. Patients must bring a complete MEDICAL REPORT, diagnostic tests previously performed, an official ID and a form showing where he/she lives.

We remind you that HEMORIO is a public institution responding to the Public Health System (SUS) and as so, only patients with primary hematological diseases are accepted. These patients must be free of any previous treatment in another health institution.
